Because they are intrinsically safe, Explights stand apart from other commercially available flashlights: they have been certified to meet the standards of the ATEX* Directive 94/9/EC and can therefore be used in areas endangered by potentially explosive atmospheres created by the presence of flammable gases, vapours, mists or dusts. Thanks to their Xenon bulb, the Explight flashlights emit an exceptionally bright light, which provides a high level of night time visibility and is capable of offsetting even the worst impediments to visibility, such as, fog, rain and smoke. All Explights are waterproof up to at least a depth of 30 meters thanks to the specially designed o-ring seal at the flashlights' joint. And the smaller Explight models are waterproof up to a depth of 150 meters. The flashlights' high-resistance plastic resin moulding, their rubber head and ergonomic design all guarantee a sure grip and light bulb protection in the case of impact and accidental drops of up to 9 meters.
